Pastor Janssen was ordained into the office of the holy ministry and installed as the Pastor of Holy Cross on July 2nd, 2023 (The Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary). He is the youngest of four children and his father is a Lutheran pastor in south-central Indiana where he was born and raised. He is a graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN (Masters of Divinity) and Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, IL (BA in Non-Profit Business Management with minors in Biblical Languages and Theology).

 

He and his wife Elizabeth enjoy reading, exploring Western Pennsylvania, spending time with friends, and raising their children in the one true faith. Their three boys are a blessing to the congregation and proud residents of the Hazelwood neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
